Taylor Joy left school aged sixteen to pursue an acting career. Anya Taylor Joy, born on the 16th of April, 1996 in Miami Florida. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, she is approximately half English in half Spanish. The father of her was Argentine who had Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother hails from Spanish and English origin. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four siblings. One of them is in each parent's previous marriages. The family lived in Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria area in London. Taylor Joy states that the move was a very difficult experience. She was not willing to learn English and hoped she could relocate back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend following her departure from Northlands. Then, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School to study ballet as well as perform in the school's productions. Then she dropped out of the high school aged 16 to focus on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy's desire to become an actress professionally started at a young age.
